Carillon® ERP and our team of developers are pleased to announce our partnership with Authorize.Net® to provide a faster, more accurate method of getting paid.
What is Authorize.Net®?
Authorize.Net® is the gateway solution for processing payments. They supply the tools needed to create a successful customer/merchant interaction and provide a reliable method of security and fraud protection. Thanks to Authorize.Net® and their ability to simplify the PCI compliance process, Carillon® ERP users can accept all major credit cards and digital payment solutions without ever leaving the Carillon window.
How Do Credit Card Payments Work?
The credit card payment process can be broken down into three steps.
Authorization. At the register or online shopping cart, the customer swipes their card or clicks "submit." This authorization confirms that sufficient funds are available for the purchase. For example, if a customer has a $700 credit limit and wants to buy a $200 item, the authorization step verifies that $200 is available.
Capture. The funds are put on hold and allocated to the merchant. The merchant can now confidently fulfill the order, knowing the payment is reserved.
Settlement. The merchant bank and customer bank transfer the funds through the payment network, moving the purchase amount into the merchant's account.
What Else Can the Payment Processing Feature Do?

The Payment Processing Feature allows you to set up secure customer profiles with multiple payment types per customer for easy access. Because Authorize.Net® stores sensitive payment data on its end, there is no need to keep credit card numbers in your Carillon® ERP system.
You can access your online account at any time to track or manage transactions. The feature also increases protection against fraudulent transactions through Authorize.Net®'s many protection filters, helping you stop suspicious transactions before they occur and reducing costs associated with authorization and chargeback fees. Because you can use your current merchant bank, implementation is straightforward.
Recurring and subscription-based billing can be automated, set up dynamically, and configured to send email notifications when credit cards or subscriptions are about to expire — saving time and eliminating error-prone manual processes.
What Does This Mean for Carillon® ERP Users?

It means a faster, more accurate, and more convenient payment processing workflow. Staying within one window in Carillon® ERP reduces friction, improves the customer experience, and protects your company from fraudulent transactions. Letting Authorize.Net® handle sensitive data storage removes your organization from the risk of data uncertainty.
At Carillon® ERP, we are dedicated to helping your business streamline its operations and grow. For more information, please contact us.
